Nev. Rev. Stat. ch. 118B § 118B.088
Continuing education of managers and assistant managers: Certificate of completion of course.
Operative Text
1. Each instructor of a course shall furnish to each person who completes the course required by NRS 118B.086 a certificate of completion. The certificate must include: (a) The name and address of the participant; (b) The name of the instructor of the course; (c) The name of the landlord of the manufactured home park who employs the participant and the address of the park, if the participant is employed as a manager or assistant manager of a manufactured home park on the date of completion of the course; (d) The number of hours of instruction completed; and (e) The date the course was completed. 2. Each instructor shall furnish to the Administrator the information included in each certificate of completion the instructor issues within 30 days after the course is completed.
Under Nev. Rev. Stat. ch. 118B § 118B.088, instructors who teach the continuing education course required for manufactured home park managers must issue a certificate of completion to every participant who finishes the course. That certificate must capture specific details, including the participant's name and address, the instructor's name, the employing landlord's name and park address (when applicable), the hours of instruction, and the completion date. Instructors are also required to send the same information to the state Administrator within 30 days of the course ending.

Nev. Rev. Stat. ch. 118B § 118B.088 places documentation obligations on course instructors, but landlords who employ managers or assistant managers at manufactured home parks have a practical stake in compliance. A compliant operator generally ensures that any manager or assistant manager they employ has received a certificate of completion reflecting the park's name and address, and retains that certificate as a record of the employee's training. Operators also typically confirm that the instructor has reported the required information to the Administrator within the 30-day window, since the park's details appear on the certificate submitted to the state.

For residents of manufactured home parks, Nev. Rev. Stat. ch. 118B § 118B.088 establishes a paper trail showing whether a park's manager or assistant manager has completed the required continuing education course. If a resident has concerns about whether their park's management staff holds a valid certificate of completion, they may look into records held by the state Administrator, who receives completion information from instructors within 30 days of each course. Tenant-rights organizations familiar with Nevada manufactured home park law can help residents understand how this documentation requirement connects to broader protections under Chapter 118B.
