Nev. Admin. Code ch. 118B § 118B.420

Division a requalification form provided by the Division not later than March 1
of each year.
2. The Division will mail the form to each
recipient not later than January 31 of each year.

Plain English

Under Nev. Admin. Code ch. 118B § 118B.420, recipients of assistance from the Fund must submit an annual requalification form to the Division by March 1 each year, with the Division mailing the form by January 31. Missing the March 1 deadline disqualifies a recipient from continued assistance unless they submit and receive approval for a new application. The requalification form must include a signed, penalty-of-perjury statement confirming the recipient has read and understood certain statutory provisions.

For Property Managers

Nev. Admin. Code ch. 118B § 118B.420 governs the annual requalification process for Fund recipients, which is administered by the Division rather than by landlords directly. Property owners whose tenants receive assistance from the Fund may want to be aware that a tenant's failure to requalify by March 1 can affect the continuation of that assistance. Operators generally stay informed about the Division's mailing and deadline schedule so they can anticipate any changes in a tenant's assistance status.

For Tenants

Under Nev. Admin. Code ch. 118B § 118B.420, if you receive assistance from the Fund, you are required to complete and return the annual requalification form the Division mails by January 31, ensuring it arrives at the Division no later than March 1. If the form is received late, your eligibility for continued assistance ends unless you submit a new application that the Administrator approves, subject to the requirements of NAC 118B.400 and 118B.410. Tenant-rights organizations familiar with Nevada housing programs can help you understand the requalification process and your options if a deadline is missed.
