Under Peekskill, N.Y., Code of Ordinances ch. 332 § 332-8, property owners and managers can expect periodic inspections of their premises as part of the city's routine enforcement of the Uniform Code. Operators of properties other than one- and two-family owner-occupied and commercial buildings within designated Code Enforcement Districts should be aware that annual inspections are standard practice. Landlords involved in a property sale may also request a pre-closing inspection, and maintaining a certificate of compliance demonstrates that a property meets Uniform Code requirements.
