For Property Managers

Under § 190-89, compliant residential property operators in Newburgh ensure that all heating, cooking, and water-heating equipment is correctly installed, connected to appropriate fuel supplies or chimneys, and never operated beyond its rated capacity. Operators remove or replace any unvented portable liquid- or gas-burning space heaters, as these are expressly prohibited. Exposed risers, ducts, and hot-water lines are covered with insulating material or guards where required, and all repairs and new installations follow the applicable City of Newburgh regulations.
