Under § 265-11, compliant property operators in Binghamton generally ensure that all plumbing fixtures are connected to both potable water and the city sewer system in accordance with Chapter 310, Article II of the Plumbing Code. Operators typically maintain water heating equipment capable of delivering water at no less than 120°F with adequate pressure to every fixture, and verify that each unit contains the required toilet, basin, bathtub or shower, and kitchen sink. Routine inspections of pipes, fixtures, and water closet floor surfaces help operators confirm that everything remains leak-free, sanitary, and structurally sound as required by this section.
