Albany, N.Y., Code of Ordinances ch. 231 § 231-105 establishes clear boundaries on when Bureau inspections of your home may lawfully take place — weekdays between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., never on weekends or legal holidays. The provision also requires that inspections be conducted in a manner that causes the least possible inconvenience to occupants. Tenants who believe an inspection occurred outside these parameters may consider documenting the circumstances and reaching out to a local tenant-rights organization or the Bureau itself to understand available options.
